此宫扇由白玉精雕而成，匠师据玉材，巧妙地用透雕、浮雕等工艺，在扇间饰二乔共读图。庭院中大小乔咏读书卷，风鬓雾鬓丝毫毕现，丰肌美姿幽不胜绮罗之态。湖石等景物陈设雕刻得一丝不苟，烘托出一派恬静清雅的书香气息。立体画图构思布局精巧合理，刻琢工艺如鬼斧神工，人物表情动态均栩栩如生。团扇的纹饰精镂细琢，刀法纤细娴熟，为“花下压花”镂雕人物纹之代表作。
