此壶以和田玉为材，玉质莹洁细腻，温润如凝脂，且料大质佳，略带沁色，颇为难得。短流口，C型龙为把，瓶盖造型规整，线条流畅，瓶体呈扁方状，瓶盖与瓶体均已浮雕技法雕刻饕餮纹，运刀修整极为细腻，雕琢工艺娴熟精湛，整器纹饰布局合理，无论选材、纹饰、雕工、意蕴，均堪称上乘之作。饕餮纹，青铜器上常见的花纹之一，最早见于长江中下游地区的良渚文化陶器和玉器上，盛行于商代至西周早期。此瓶上的饕餮纹，面部巨大而夸张，线条雄健，配上玉石的坚韧材质和温润质感，积淀着一股深处的历史力量。
