此器造型端正大方，撇口，束颈，溜肩，长圆腹，圈足微撇，以菊花为主题纹饰，铜胎掐丝珐琅器俗称“景泰蓝”，其制作工艺以金属（主要是红铜，少量为金）做胎，用细而薄的金属丝焊着于成形的金属胎表面形成花纹，然后填施各色珐琅料，再经焙烧、镀金及磨光等工序，成品厚重华美，珐琅五彩斑斓，与通体繁密的金线和金饰交相辉映，呈现出富贵豪华之气派。
