此花觚通身绘青花神仙祝寿图，纹样布满外壁，构图饱满，层次丰富。觚是中国古代一种用于饮酒的容器，也用作礼器，圈足，敞口，长身，口部和底部都呈现为喇叭状。觚初现于二里岗文化，到西周中期已十分罕见。盛行于商代和西周早期。觚为酒器，始见于新石器时代陶器，夏、商、周时期流行青铜觚。仿青铜觚的瓷质花瓶，俗称“花觚”，流行于元、明、清三代。
