荸荠瓶为清代流行的一种瓶式，粗长颈，扁圆腹，状如荸荠而名。这件粉彩轧道葧荠瓶，撇口，扁圆腹，圈足，器形规正，削足考究，足端露胎，胎质洁白细腻。用轧道工艺，通身装饰粉彩缠枝花卉纹，色彩鲜艳，瑰丽，晶莹，玉润。工艺材质介绍粉彩瓷是珐琅彩之外，清宫廷又一创烧的彩瓷。在烧好的胎釉上施含砷物的粉底，涂上颜料后用笔洗开，由于砷的乳蚀作用颜色产生粉化效果。粉彩简单率直，浓笔艳抹，富贵豪华而别具一格。
