A rare Meissen porcelain walking cane topper Formed as the head of a parrot and decorated with a finely painted merchant navy scene. Unmarked. Restored. H 6.6 cm. 1740s. Provenance Private collection Westphalia. Literature Cf. Seltener Stockgriff mit Papageienkopf und Kauffahrteiszene Porzellan, farbiger Aufglasurdekor, Goldränderung. Sehr fein gemalte umlaufende Hafenszenen mit großen Figuren. Ohne Marke. Restaurierung.
