We are honored to bring all of you this auction session with part of collectibles provided by yuan kewen items by later generations, and some of them were assembled by R. H. Benson, C. T. Loo, J.T.Tai and Liu Chenggan as well as some other collectors whom Yuan Kewen sold to them when he was is Shanghai. Also, some of porcelains and court works of art were collected by Yuan Kewen when Yuan Shikai was the emperor at that time.   Yuan Kewen, head of Tianjin Qingbang group in the Republic of China, was the second son of Yuan Shikai. Yuan Kewen did not participate in political activities, but good at poetry, calligraphy, can sing Kunqu opera, he bought cultural relics spend a lot of money, but after the success of the transfer. Living in Shanghai in his later years, he made a living by mortgaging rare books and even selling Chinese characters calligraphy and writings. Yuan Kewen's antiques collection is the most refined, mostly for the Qing court, the highest value of 29 kinds, 116 volumes; But he has a wide range of interests and other collections.
