玉龟白玉材质，玉质细腻晶莹，器身硕大。整体圆雕作一乌龟造型，乌龟龟背外圈圆拱而中顶微缓，顶面还有阴刻菱格纹装饰花纹；龟腹一体圆雕，同样以阴线刻画勾勒作腹甲。四足外撇，尾尖圆浑，龟首回望而塑造传神。整体造型精致美观，塑造形象生动，古人曾称赞龟“静养千年寿，重泉自隐居”，寓意深远，十分适合作为收藏文房陈设。
