贯耳瓶器形仿古代投壶式样，倭口近似海棠形，颈部对称贴塑管状双耳，下腹略鼓，底承圈足。造型端庄，古朴大方，外壁满施郎窑红釉，玻璃质感强，釉面肥润，清澈透亮，口沿下方呈蛋清色，至肩部逐渐深红，如初凝牛血般艳丽，近足处有垂流，尽显“脱口垂足郎不流”之风貌，达到了一种独特的装饰效果。 郎窑红釉器为时任江西巡抚郎廷极兼景德镇御窑厂督理时所烧造名品，为康熙仿明代宣德宝石红釉的创新品种。郎窑红釉器其色如初凝牛血一般鲜红浓艳，乾隆御制诗中曾有“世上朱砂非所拟，西方宝石致难同”的吟咏，乃清代单色釉中的名品，一直为藏家所重。
