Large Art Deco figure of a pheasant, Älteste Volkstädt, Thuringia, designed by Arthur Storch (1870 Volkstedt - 1947 Cumbach) , signed and dated 1921, Museal sculpture of a pheasant on a tree stump surrounded by vines, with long tail feathers, the plumage polychrome painted, crack in the base, h. 70 cm, The large sculpture of the pheasant is part of a group comprising sixteen animal figures. It was created for the Porcelain Palace at the Leipzig Fair in 1921. The figures designed by Arthur Storch and Hugo Meisel include the above-mentioned pheasant by Arthur Storch, an eagle, a cockerel and two dragon figures.
