Fine Chinese 18th/19th C Jadeite Brush Washer carved, pierced and polished as a large quatrefoil Ruyi head with loose ring and chrysanthemum handles, the top surface carved with a descending Bat holding a Chime from ribbons; on 4 small feet and with a carved, pierced and polished quatrefoil black hard wood stand carved with a scrolling lotus to flat top. Width from handle to handle 8 1/2 inches (21.5 cm.). PROVENANCE: Private collection, New York. NOTE: with "Ge Ren" label to base of jade.
