定窑作为宋代五大名窑之一，以生产精美白瓷著称，历来为藏家所重。乾隆皇帝曾作御题诗：“古香古色雅宜心，宋定名陶器足珍……”来赞咏定窑。
此瓶形制精雅，亭亭玉立。整作海棠形，微唇沿，长细颈，弧腹下收，底承圈足。颈部堆塑螭龙纹，身躯矫健，昂首仰望，灵动多姿。器身两面暗花灵芝纹。通体施釉润泽，莹素甜美，瓶身遍布开片，古韵犹然。底心釉下暗刻“宋定”款识。
