Provenance: Robert Rousset, Paris (1901-1981), acquired in the 1950's-1970's Jean-Pierre Rousset, Paris (1936-2021) Preserved with the original gilding this fine casting of a naga final would have adorned processional royal palanquins where the finials were mounted on the ends of the poles and corners of the elevated platforms.
