作者简介：胡也佛(1908-1980)，浙江金姚人，曾任上海商务印书局编辑、国民书局经理。上海新华艺术专业毕业，工书画，学宗仇十洲，擅作仕女，间写宋元一路山水，隽逸过人。此图画吹箫仕女，虽无飘飘衣袂，但有云里雾中之态。衣纹线条，似为丝革之织物，轮廓濩角分明；裙裾线条柔和如水，是轻软柔韧的丝织品，上下衣裙均为素色，反衬出头上花簪与腰间锦缎的艳丽华贵。用笔中锋，流畅委婉，富有表现力。全图亮丽清雅，有张大千画风韵。
