Tibor; Chinese school, mid-20th century.Ceramic following models of the pink family. It has a stamp on the base.Measurements: 21 x 23 cm.Tibor with an ovoid body profusely decorated all over the surface. In the centre of the body a cartouche opens up, revealing a figurative scene of children playing with an adult. The rest of the body has a green base and a floral pattern, which only varies at the base and in the area of the mouth, where the lid sits. The predominance of the pink tonality shows that it follows the models of the pink family, known for the use of light and very luminous tonalities, especially pink and green, but also golden yellow. This is a style typical of ceramics exported to Europe, developed mainly during the second half of the 19th century. It is an ornate and highly ornamental style. Thanks to the discovery of the white glaze, Chinese potters broadened the palette, achieving new tonal ranges that allowed them to conform more closely to European tastes. Within the Cantonese Rose Family there are three styles: pink medallion, nonya or straits and the Mandarin style.Dimensions: 21 x 23 cm.
