Middle East, Ca. 1100-1500 century ADA fine gold finger ring having a box form upper portion, finely engraved with an overall vine pattern, and inset with an orange carnelian intaglio carved with a long-horned animal. Wide tapered gold shank, highly decorated in relief and engraved with a fancy vine pattern, and inset with two fine turquoise teardrop stones. Engraved with a rearing animal on the underside of the box bezel. Intact, excellent condition. A beautiful example.
