Ca. 600-800 ADA Judeo-Aramaic terracotta bowl of a hemispherical body densely inscribed with lines of incantations against evil spirits. It is written in black ink spiraling around the interior. Bowls like this example were traditionally buried face down under houses to catch demons and thus protect the house; they are also known as incantation bowls or demon bowls.
