Ca. 100-300 ADA finely modelled bronze pair of feet, coming from a statue of a satyr. The legs are cast with strong, naturalistic features. A rare find! Satyrs were companions of the ancient Greek god Dionysus (the Romans 'Bacchus'), the god of wine, fertility, ritual madness, theater, and religious ecstasy.
