Two Samson porcelain armorial style lidded jars

Edme Samson et Cie., Paris, late 19th century

In the Chinese export style, the first a lidded urn, the second a cylindrical lidded canister, both with pseudo-Chinese marks underside, one with "Made in France" hand painted to underside. (2).

Smaller jar with a minor glaze chip to lid, small chip to rim, crack extending from rim to lower body. Larger vase with glaze wear on the rim of lid and mouth; staining throughout body.
