Notes from the Metropolitan Museum files indicate this piece was reconstructed at the MET in 1931. The side panels show a central cut suggesting some reconfiguring, currently lacking backboards, case interior set with heavy modern steel bracing system for structural support (disassembles for transit), some panels and/or framing members restored (interior with black stenciled marks "New York"), pest damage, some losses and repairs at joins, strip patch at one side of top.
