A Japanese sterling box with Imperial mon

With Jungin mark and "Mitsukoshi" maker's mark to the underside; sold with an old wooden box.

Mitsukoshi Department Store is a high-end store selling luxury goods. In the Meiji period, they were known to serve the emperor's family.
