卷缸为书房中置放画卷之用，又因可置于案头之上亦称案缸，为文房器之一类。此件卷缸敛口，丰肩，腹下敛，体量较大。通体以墨彩为地，素三彩绘制纹饰。口沿一周锦地开光绘书卷纹饰，腹部卷草纹为地开光绘博古、山水、蝴蝶等纹饰，整体用彩浓艳。由于卷缸体量偏大，占用窑位多，废品率高，故而是较为高档的器物。
