Travel clock from the second half of the 19th century. Gilt bronze. With key. Measurements: 15 x 13.5 x 8 cm. Travel clock or carriage clock with a gilt bronze structure, decorated with mouldings and with a handle located in the upper area to allow its easy transport. The piece has a white dial with Roman numerals in black, as well as three auxiliary dials for the calendar (day of the week, day of the month and month of the year), all of which are integrated into a chiselled plate decorated with scrolls. The side walls and the front are made of bevelled glass, as are the oculus at the top and the hinged rear door, which allows a view of the machinery. Clocks of this type were very common in the 19th century, often used for travelling because of their size.
