此壶整作四方造型，撇口方唇，粗束颈，弧腹下收，器身线条流畅，底承覆斗式圈足。
肩两侧对铸饕餮耳，下悬圆环。器身每面上中下三处开光，满铺细密的仿古蟠虺纹，交错紧索，章法严谨，尽显古朴神秘的气质。
外壁皮壳层次感强烈，漆古、赭红、棠梨等诸色叠压，并以绿松石、翡翠等珍贵宝石材料研磨成粉，做仿古绿绣，古朴典雅中隐透文人气息，颇为精妙。
