3 Vintage Cecil Beaton (1904-1980) Self-Portraits ca 1940's-50's using a timer shutter release with the Rolleiflex (square format) he started to use after 1931 from watching Hoyningen-Heune at this time. Photographed in Reddish House, Broad Chalke, the art on the walls includes works by friends Pavel Tchelitchew, Christian Berard's and Augustus John's portraits of Beaton, etc.; archival mats. Approximate size of largest 5 inches square, (12.5 cm. square). PROVENANCE: Separated from a page in one of Cecil Beaton's Photo Albums purchased as Lot 551, Sotheby's London, The Beaton Studio Sale, 9 November 1978, and each possibly unique.
