提要：1.马文苑，字兰台，江苏长洲人。光绪八年中举人。工诗词，著有《蕅香词》。2.席淦（1845-1917）名裕淦，又名裕宗，字伯勋，号瀚伯，祖籍苏州东山，生于青浦。席端樊第卅八世孙，席元孚孙，席素文子。毕业于上海方言馆，同治七年，到京师同文馆深造，主要从李善兰习算，为其得意门生。稽查精密，为晚清著名数学家。后在同文馆讲垂卅年，曾任兵部主事、郎中。光绪廿五年试经济特科，为张之洞所力荐，婉谢不应。
