Provenance:Private collection, Cleveland, Ohio. The items in the collection were acquired starting in the 1970s from auction houses including Christie’s, Sotheby’s, and Bonhams, as well as from various private collections in the United States. Works from this collection were offered in Oakridge Auction Gallery’s December 2, 2021 sale titled “Appreciating Extravagance: Chinese Artwork from an Important Collection in Ohio.”

Condition:The smaller bottle has significant glaze chipping and glaze pops throughout; minor iron pitting throughout. The larger bottle has chipping to the foot and a firing crack to the neck. Minor glaze pops to the rim and throughout. Residue to the rim.
