款识：乙酉夏，定之汤涤作于海上義遐轩研高。 钤印：定之画记
汤涤（1878-1948），字定之，号乐孙，亦号太平湖客、双于道人、琴隐后人，室名画梅楼、茗闲堂。江苏武进（今江苏常州）人。名画家汤贻汾之曾孙，与萧逊、王云同是民国年间北京画坛的重要画家。任北京大学书画研究会导师及故宫博物院鉴定，北平艺术专科学校教授。
