A Paragon parasol by the S. Fox & Co., likely from their works at Amiens, France. The porcelain handle in heavy gilt depicts a young Queen Victoria with her royal monogram and date ofcoronation. The Paragon style of parasol was patented in 1852 with the components being made in France. There is what appears to be a French maker's mark on the gilded metal, as well as one rib signed Paragon S. Fox & Co. L. overall: 92 cm (36 1/4 in.) Although the parasol and porcelain are in fine condition and fully functional, the silk skin is deteriorating.品相报告: ConditionAlthough the parasol and porcelain are in fine condition and fully functional, the silk skin is deteriorating.
