作者简介：星云（释星云1927年－），俗名李国深，农历七月二十二日出生，原籍中国江苏江都，其信徒常称之为星云大师，为临济正宗第四十八代传人。自中国大陆来台后加入中国国民党，曾任国民党党务顾问、国民党中央常务委员。佛光山开山宗长，佛光山寺第一、二、三任住持。2006年西来大学正式成为美国大学西区联盟（WASC）会员，为美国首座由中国人创办并获得该项荣誉之大学。2010年1月13日获得“中华文化人物”终身荣誉奖。
