A Gilt-Bronze Figure Of Buddha Shakyamuni. The middle cast with a seated Shakyamuni Buddha with his hair tied into a high chignon, body rendered clad in long, flowing robes, the voluminous drapery elegantly cascading in folds, flanked by two stood attendants (each with a circular nimbus overhead) and two beasts with their heads facing to the left and right respectively, behind back a holy, magnificent screen, the base flanked by two further miniature attendants; the topknot of the whole statue is cast with a large 'animal mask' decoration. 17th Century.
