A TIBETAN BRONZE GILT PADMAPANIStanding on a round lotus base over a double lotus base, wearing a dhoti and jewelry, his face with down casting eyes and gentle smile surmounted by a foliate tiara and a high chignon topped with a finial. All backed by a flaming openwork mandorla. This is a great example of a Pala-period altarpiece. The rare example is fire-gilt as opposed to the common brass alloy.Dimension: L. 27 cm. W. 20 cm. H. 60 cm. Weight 9110 gram.
