**First Time At Auction**Native American, Southwestern United States, Ancestral Puebloan (Anasazi), ca. 1000 to 1250 CE; Southeastern United States, Mississippian culture, ca. 1000 to 1500 CE. A set of 2 hand-built pottery vessels from ancient Native American tribes, both formed via the traditional coil-and-scrape technique. First is an Anasazi redware jar with layered corrugations around the upper body and notched corrugations along the lower body. The larger Mississippian jar is of compressed spherical form with a register of petite stippling beneath the squat neck.
