The barrel of the pen is made of walnut wood inlaid with 925 sterling silver with plant motifs. The silver clip bears an inscription of the Montblanc brand, as does the legendary star crowning the cap. This is a limited edition of 4810 pieces.Von Humboldt was born in Prussian Berlin during the Age of Enlightenment. He travelled around the world studying foreign cultures and flora and became a naturalist and cultural patron.
