MONTEGRAPPA FOUNTAIN PEN, APHRODITE LIMITED EDITION.Barrel in black ebonite and sterling silver.Two-tone 18 kts gold nib, M-point.Limited edition.No box.Measurements: 14 cm. length; 18.78 mm. diameter.Of generous size, made on black ebonite, the Montegrappa Aphrodite Silver Limited Edition is one of the jewel pieces of this brand.All the metal we can see on the ebonite is solid silver with mother-of-pearl inlays; on the crown we see the representation of the "Flower of Aphrodite"; the clip is a representation of a cascade of water with a pearl inserted at the end; and on the shirt that covers the cap there is a myrtle bush, a plant related to the goddess, on each side of the clip.On the body there are two representations, one of Aphrodite on a giant shell in homage to Botticelli's "Birth of Venus", at whose feet we find another pearl, and on the other side a figure of Adonis leaning against a tree. On the body itself and near the butt we can see the piece number of the total number of pieces manufactured.The nib is made of 18K gold, with a platinum mask except for a hexagonal honeycomb with a bee figure that preserves the yellow colour of the gold; the loading system is by piston. It was launched on the market in 1997 with a mintage of 1912 pieces.
