Ca. 1900-1650 BC An Old Babylonian rectangular cuneiform made of clay, completely inscribed on both sides with either a tax register or name list. Clay cuneiform tablets were small enough to be portable and durable when dried, clay tablets allowed for the transmission of information across time and space.
