Ca. 600-700 AD A beautiful gold cross pendant with expanding arms and ribbed suspension loop, inset pale green glass cloisons to the arms and centre. From lower and side arms short-chain dangles with amethyst beads are suspended. The item has undergone X-ray fluorescence analysis to confirm the metallurgical content suggesting its ancient origin and lack of modern trace elements. Size: L:47mm / W:23mm ; 5.11g Provenance: From the private collection of a Central London gentleman; previously in a collection formed on the UK/European art market before 2000.
