Description
Translation provided by Youdao
Ca. 14th-15th Century AD A very unusual dagger with a medium length and width, flat blade with parallel sides. Just below the cross guard is a punched ‘V’ mark which may be a makers mark or a skeuomorph. The cross guard is a thin oval disc of iron whilst the pommel is a very different ‘T’ shape fitting made of brass. IT is possible that the pommel could be a later addition. There is some surface pitting but the condition is good. Size: L:364mm / W:63mm ; 250g Provenance: Ex. European collection formed between 2000 to 2020.
