Ca. 14th-15th Century AD A medieval poniard with long thin stiletto blade with a diamond section. The pommel is an oval disc, lenticular in shape. The cross guard is similar but flat. The edges are indented rather like a cog wheel. The guard is rather thick, into this broad edge has been inlaid twisted wire of two different metals for artistic effect. There is a little surface pitting but with this inlay the condition is excellent. Size: L:357mm / W:47mm ; 295g Provenance: Ex. European collection formed between 2000 to 2020.
