佛祖的身侧常有尊者相伴，其中之一就有阿难尊者。阿难尊者也是佛祖的十大弟子之一。阿难，全称阿难陀，意为欢喜、庆喜、无染。系佛陀之堂弟，出家后二十余年间，为佛陀之常随弟子；善记忆，对于佛陀之说法多能朗朗记诵，故誉为多闻第一。 此尊者像，立于纹饰之上，原物或为释迦牟尼佛的配件。但以小见大，神态间充满智慧之光。尊者呈站姿，服饰衣折简洁大方，线条刻画有致，味道十足，使得古拙尽显。整体生动传神，合乎法度，具有极高的艺术价值。
