GEORGES BRAQUE (France, 1882 - 1963)."Autumn flower".Lithograph, Test proof.Signed and justified by hand.Size: 35 x 26 cm.Georges Braque began his training at the School of Fine Arts in Le Havre. He then moved to Paris, where he continued his studies with a master decorator and at the Humbert Academy. He began his career as a Fauvismist painter, but in autumn 1907 Cézanne's retrospective exhibition and his friendship with Picasso led him to change his style. Their work, in close relationship, led to the emergence and development of Cubism. Georges Braque is represented at the MoMA, the Metropolitan and the Guggenheim in New York, the Orsay in Paris, the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice, the Palazzo Ruspoli in Rome, the Reina Sofia and the Thyssen-Bornemisza in Madrid, the Tate Gallery in London and the Kunstmuseum in Basel, among many others.
