Xile, 1973.Silkscreen on paper, copy 97/150.Signed, justified, located and dated by hand.Size: 64 x 46 cm; 75,5 x 58,5 cm (frame).Painter and sculptor initiated in expressionism, from the end of the sixties his style goes through an abstract stage which will lead to a figuration concentrated on the problems of man and the environment which conditions him. His language is direct, supported by vivid colour. Since his solo debut in 1965, Miró has exhibited his work both in Spain and in many other countries, and has been awarded prizes such as the Joan Miró Drawing Prize, the Diploma of Honour at the London Winter International Salon and the Premio Nazionale Centro de Arte Elba in Palermo, among others. He is currently represented in the MACBA in Barcelona, the Museo de Bellas Artes in Bilbao, the Oldham in Lancashire (UK), the Sigmund Freud in Vienna, the Calcografía Nacional in Madrid and the Cívico Museo di Milano, among many other museums and collections, both private and public, all over the world.
