ANDREU ALFARO HERNÁNDEZ (La Huerta, Valencia, 1929 - 2012).Untitled.Silkscreen.Unnumbered. Hand signed.Size: 70 x 50 cm.Related to the Parpalló Group, and influenced by the Constructivists and Jorge Oteiza, he made his individual debut in 1957, at the Sala Mateo in Valencia. Thanks to his participation in the 1966 Venice Biennale, his works acquired international resonance, and in 1967 a retrospective exhibition of his work was held at the Sala de la Dirección General de Bellas Artes in Madrid. He has received awards such as the Premio de Honor Jaume I, the Premio Nacional de Artes Plásticas and the Alfons Roig de Artes Plásticas of the Diputación de Valencia. He is represented in the Museums of Contemporary Art and Reina Sofía in Madrid, the Patio Herreriano in Valladolid, the Juan March Foundation and the IVAM in Valencia.
