Womöglich ist dieses im Kontext von Gandolfis Arbeit an den Kuppelfresken in der Oktogonhalle byzantinischen Stils, welche von Giacomo Guarana vollendet worden sind, in der Basilika Santo Stefano in Bologna entstanden.
