Khulasah in Hisab, or 'The summa on Arithmetic' by Baha Al-din Al-Amili, Dated 1228 AH /1813 AD Containing 39 folios, black script, and titles and catchwords in red ink, with numerous marginal and interlinear glosses and corrections in Persian and Arabic, copied 1228 AH (1813), in an (original) brown leather binding . A popular textbook on arithmetic among the Safavids, written by Bahaa al-Din Muhammad ibn Husayn al-Amili. The thesis consists of an introduction, nine chapters, and a conclusion. Each chapter is divided in turn into subchapters, each of which is preceded in some cases by one or more prefaces with many graphs: Chapter One: On the Calculation of the integers, chapter Two: On Calculating Fractions; Chapter Three: On Extracting Unknowns by Four Proportions, Chapter Four: On Extracting Unknowns by Calculating Two Errors, Chapter Five: In Extracting Unknowns by Working Backwards Chapter Sixth: On Surveying; Chapter Seven: areas being followed by the weight of the earth, the heights, the widths of the rivers and the depths of the wells, Chapter Eight: In the extraction of unknowns by way of completion and balancing.
