拍品呈葫芦型，短口，圈足。器外壁满施胭脂红釉，釉色莹润雅静。此种釉色是以金作为着色剂，在炉内800℃左右温度烧造而成的低温红釉。《饮流斋说瓷》中明确载有：“胭脂水一色发明于雍正。而乾隆继之。乾隆所制则胎骨渐厚，色略发紫，其里釉犹白“。此葫芦瓶乃品种之一，尤为珍贵。
