A silver pocket watch, with double case, Pieter van den Bergh. No. 336, Rotterdam ca. 1740. Silver etched dial with Arabic and Roman numerals date display at six o clock. In the middle angels and lobe ornament with signature P.V.Den Bergh. With verge escapement and muzzle embellished with fan-shaped pillars and cut ajour on the top. On the back plate a silver closed bridge with an etched representation of a child sitting on a chair with a book. Under the kidney-shaped opening for glass pane the text: "STUD.SCIENT.GEN.".
