A French ormolu rococo revival mantel clock19th century, the twin train movement signed 'G. Poursillie Montauban', no. 436, with outside countwheel striking the hours and half hours on a bell, fronted by a white enamel dial, signed indistinctly, with blue Roman numerals and Arabic outer minute track, the ormolu case decorated with swags, foliage and rocaille, with a seated cherub and two nesting love birds, on scroll and foliate feet, 11½in. (29.25cm.) high.Condition Report: Winds and runs. Strikes correctly. Surface dirt to upper surfaces of case. Signature to dial rubbed but otherwise good with just minor scratches. Good overall.
