A late 19th century French Sienna marble and ormolu mounted mantel clockthe drum case surmounted by an eagle with outstretched wings, on a scrolled plinth with ormolu foliate swags, urn appliqué and outset ormolu feet, the Roman white enamel and gilt sunburst dial fronting a twin train movement with outside countwheel striking the hours and half hours on a bell, 'O. Carry' of Paris mark and 'Samuel Marti' medal mark, no. 5718 7.2, 16 ½in. (42cm.) high.* Winds and runs. Strikes correctly. Some wear to gilding. A few tiny nibbles to edges of marble case.
