A pair of Aynsley lidded vases tomemorate the 200th Oaks Stakes and Derby Stakes at Epsom 1978 and 1979commissioned by Gilbey Racing, both signed J. Shaw, Oaks painted with Fille De L' Air 1864; Derby painted with Diomed 1780, both limited edition 30-100, each of waisted oval form with domed cover, printed marks to underside, 20 3/8in. (26.4cm.) high. (2)Condition Report: Both appear to be good, no chips or cracks found, display pieces only, very little wear.
